谷村です。毎日暑いです。
今まで多くの人が同じことをいろんなところで質問されました。最近も尾崎さんがJf
lyに出されましたね。それらの返信がないことから、抗体は無いものかと思っていま
した。ところが、DNA binding domain and transcriptional activation domainに対
する抗体があることがわかりました。少し長いですが以下のメールを参照ください。
Clontechが一番購入しやすいと思います。（しかし、すでに発売されているかは不明
です。）もし、ここ以外から購入されたら情報を知らせていただけませんか？

Hello again,
Last week I posted the question:
Does anyone know if there is an antibody available to the GAL4 activation
domain (aa 768-881)? So far I haven't had a response yet which probably
means there is no such antibody, which I would find more surprising than
disappointing. Just thought I would throw it out one more time, just in
case.......

Hi Kevin,
GAL4 antibodies can be obtained from Santa Cruz Biochemicals. They have
one for the activation domain and one for the binding domain. Their number
is: 800-457-3801 FAX: 408-457-3801.

Monoclonal antibodies to the DNA binding domain and transcriptional
activation domain of Gal4p will be available from Clontech, Inc.
(1-800-662-CLON) in July.
I do not work for Clontech, nor will I profit from this announcement
(unfortunately!), and am posting this merely to inform the yeast community
(and all those doing two-hybrid work) of their availability.

We have used antibodies against GAl4 (polyclonal) from Santa Cruz in one
western blot experiment. It didn't work, but controls with an antibody
against the fusion partner were OK. The GAL4 antibody gave strong signals
at the place that keratins could be.....
