gl-lacZ transgene を持つ系統と myc tag 以外の２Ｒマーカー？

Subject: [Jfly] gl-lacZ, CD2, GFP
暑中お見舞い申し上げます。
（１）R-axon のマーカーとして使いたいと考え、gl-lacZ transgene を持つ系統を
探しております。JFly stock list にも Bloomington stock list にも見つけられま
せんでした。お持ちの方は御一報いただけないでしょうか。
（２）somatic clone の原基でのマーキングのための、myc tag 以外の２Ｒマーカー
を探しています。ubiquitous promoter でドライブされる CD2 または GFP などの t
ransgene が、２Ｒに挿入された系統をご存知ないでしょうか。FRT42D との組換え体
でなくとも構いません。ご存知の方は、教えていただけないでしょうか。

I'm not sure whether gl-lacZ (glass promoter fused to lacZ) exists. What
people normally use is the 5xGBS (GLASS binding site)-minimal hsp70
promoter-lacZ transgene.
I have one on the third chromosome, made by Bruce Hay. The marker is
rosy[+], not white{+]. I believe similar constructs exist with a mini-white
marker, but I don't have such stocks in my collection.

I have asked David Bilder in Norbert Perrimon's lab about the ub (ubiquitin
promoter)-GFP lines. As of our last communication (7/3/98), he didn't have
any on 2R. The insertions he mentioned in the following mail turned out to
be on 2L. Since many people seem to have been hopping this construct
around, it might be worthwhile sending an inquiry to bio.dros.

Dear Dr. Hiromi-
I'd be happy to send you ub:GFP lines. As I told Susan a number of
different people have made 'hops' of the Ilan Davis insertion and
recombined them onto different chromosomes and been generous enough to
decide not to really regard them as propietary. When we get a 'complete'
set I will see if the stock center wants them. On the other hand, until
they are in the stock center it might be nice to know who they have gone
to.
In the meantime, I can send you a ub:GFP-82B line --although the
Perrimon lab often uses Chou's miniwhite marked FRTs for 2R and 3L ("G13"
and "2A") we have always been happy with 40A and 82B. RE the 2R insertion:
that is the one insert that we do not yet have. We have two insertions on
2 that are currently being mapped (by Cagan's lab, in fact) and I am
recombining them onto G13 at the same time. At any rate, I hope to know
within a week or so if we have a 2R insertion. I can send you the 3R right
away or you can wait to see if a 2R is available as well. Just let me
know.

おっしゃる通り、5xGBS-hsp70 promoter-lacZ tarnsgenic を探していました。
5xGBS-hsp70 promoter-lacZ のことを gl-lacZ と省略形で書いているようでした
ので、さぼってそのように書きました。お持ちの株をリクエストさせて頂くか、24日
中にお返事致します。the ub (ubiquitin promoter)-GFP lines の情報もありがとう

FRT42-hsCD2 を所有いたしております．ubiquitous promoter ではありませんが、
heat shock でCD2 の発現は非常に強く誘導されます．必要であればお送り致します．
ついでにひとつお聞きしたいのですが、FRT42-armlacZ をお持ちの方いらっしゃい
ませんでしょうか？お持ちの方がいらっしゃいましたら御連絡下さい．
